By creating an account or using Peerless Review (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is operated by Medscrios LLC (“Medscrios”, “we”, “us”).
Peerless Review uses artificial intelligence to analyze scientific manuscripts you upload and return editorial feedback — comments on sections, statistics, references, and consistency, along with suggested revisions. Verified academic email addresses receive one free review per calendar month; additional reviews may be purchased.
The output of Peerless Review consists of suggestions only. It is generated by automated AI systems, which can and do make mistakes: they may be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date, or simply wrong, and may flag issues that are not real (false positives) or miss issues that are (false negatives).
You must provide accurate registration information and verify your email address before submitting a manuscript. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. The free monthly review is offered to addresses we identify as academic; we may adjust or withdraw the free tier at any time.
You retain all rights to the manuscripts and materials you submit. You represent that you have the right to submit them and that doing so does not violate any law or third-party right. We do not claim ownership of your content. We use your manuscript only to generate your review (see Section 6 and our Privacy Policy).
We treat uploaded manuscripts as confidential. Uploaded files are deleted after processing; we retain only the resulting review, tied to your account. To generate the review, manuscript content is sent to our AI provider for analysis under their terms; only short derived search queries — never your manuscript text — are sent to public literature databases. Paid reviews are sold as credits and processed by our payment provider, Stripe. Prices are shown before purchase and may change. If a review fails to complete due to a technical error on our side, the credit used is automatically returned to your account. Except as required by law, purchased credits are otherwise non-refundable.
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by uploading unlawful content or content you lack the right to submit, attempting to disrupt or reverse-engineer the Service, or using it to violate any law or third-party right.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the feedback will be correct or complete.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Medscrios will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on the Service’s feedback or from any publication decision. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the three months before the claim.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above; continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where a mandatory law of your residence applies.
